Is your rent increasing because the mortgage reference rate has risen? Often, when this happens, the associated and general cost increases are passed on to the tenants. You do not have to put up with it. You can use our letter template to appeal the rent increase.
Do you believe that your ancillary statement is too high or that it contains imprecise information? Using our letter template, you can request a detailed list of the ancillary costs from your landlord.
Have you received a bill from the landlord for repairs or resolution of a problem in the apartment? Tenants must only pay for repairs themselves if the amount does not exceed CHF 150. If the amount is higher or a specialist with the respective expertise or special tools was required, the bill must be paid by the landlord. This applies even if the cost of the repair was less than CHF 150. If the landlord sends you such a bill anyway, you can reject the bill with the following letter template.
Did the reference interest rate go down, but your rent didn’t? Then you can request a reduction in your rent from your landlord with this letter template. If you do not receive a reply within 30 days, immediately report the situation to us or go directly to the arbitration authority in your district of residence and submit your reduction request there.
You want to move out of your rental apartment earlier than the notice period in your contract? To do so, you must propose a solvent and acceptable replacement tenant who is prepared to take over your rental contract at the same conditions. The landlord may take no longer than one month for the selection and credit check. Use our letter template to notify your landlord.
